What to Prepare for a PCB Reverse Engineering Service

A PCB reverse engineering service converts evidence from an existing board into agreed engineering outputs. Depending on access and scope, those outputs may include component identification, connectivity, schematic capture, a BOM, layer documentation, test data, and a redesign baseline. Accuracy depends on sample condition, hidden layers, programmable devices, permitted destructive work, and acceptance criteria; photographs or automated imaging alone do not constitute a verified design package.

  • State the business objective: identify whether the project supports maintenance, obsolescence replacement, interoperability, documentation recovery, or redesign.
