Bluetooth Architecture Solutions
Our BLDC (Brushless DC) motor solutions offer advanced and efficient solutions for various applications requiring precise motor control and high reliability.
SOC BT
This Bluetooth architecture combines two components: an MCU and a Bluetooth chip. The Bluetooth protocol stack and application programs are preloaded into the Bluetooth chip. Common models include CSRBC4/5, CSR8670, CSR8675, TI CC2540, NRF51xxx, and NRF52xxx. Such products are typically used in consumer electronics like Bluetooth headphones.
SOC BT+MCU
This Bluetooth architecture builds upon the SoC BT framework by adding one or more MCU application programs to enhance the performance of the Bluetooth chip. The principle is to utilize specific interfaces (mostly UART) to send custom commands to the integrated Bluetooth chip. For example, sending 0x01 represents searching for nearby devices.
BT Host + Controller
This approach separates the Bluetooth Controller from the Host protocols, providing a comprehensive solution for all Bluetooth products. Moreover, it integrates more Bluetooth protocols, such as Bluetooth HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, PBAP, and MAP. The Transport is a protocol, with H2 being based on USB, while H4, H5, BCSP are protocols based on UART, and of course, SDIO is also utilized.
Support Bluetooth Protocols
- Basic Rate (BR) : Enhanced Data Rate (EDR), Media Access Control (MAC), Alternate MAC and PHY layer extension (AMP)
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) : A low-power Bluetooth technology
Types of Bluetooth Development Kit
Built-in Debugger
The debugger is a critical component of a Bluetooth development kit, yet many kits don't include one. When selecting a Bluetooth development kit, it's crucial to choose one with a built-in debugger to avoid the hassle of purchasing a separate mainboard. Integrated debuggers simplify development by allowing developers to run and debug code directly on the target processor. Additionally, onboard debuggers often integrate seamlessly with the vendor's integrated development environment (IDE), providing developers with advanced debugging features.
Bluetooth Traffic Tracer
When developing Bluetooth devices, a Traffic Tracer is another essential component of the Bluetooth toolkit. It aids developers in troubleshooting when dealing with issues at the Bluetooth protocol level. On the other hand, development tools equipped with a built-in packet tracing interface allow developers to capture raw Bluetooth traffic incoming into the system and analyze it using network analyzer tools. The analyzer decodes the data into human-readable protocol formats, making debugging a breeze.
Virtual Serial Communication Port
When starting IoT prototype development, the first step for developers is to establish a serial connection between the target device and PC for data logging and command transmission. This enables advanced debugging, allowing developers to identify code issues before deep debugging.Using a Bluetooth development kit with a built-in virtual communication port saves costs on external UART-to-USB bridging boards. It also streamlines project design and speeds up prototype development from the development board.
Universal Bluetooth App Testing Tool with OTA
Without smooth smartphone applications and wireless Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates, nobody would consider purchasing Bluetooth IoT products. Suppose developers aim to develop excellent smartphone connectivity and OTA capabilities for their products. In that case, a universal Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mobile app testing tool with OTA support should be considered. This will save a significant amount of development time and swiftly launch market-ready product prototypes.
Bluetooth Hardware Components
A Bluetooth development kit with a MikroBUS™ socket allows developers to instantly utilize numerous add-on hardware components, including MikroE's Click boards. Alternatively, developers can explore options like Sparkfun's Qwiic® Connect system, which offers compatibility with various boards from Sparkfun, Adafruit, and Seeed Studio. Through the Qwiic interface, developers can easily connect additional boards and expand functionality, akin to building with LEGO bricks.
